The operating mechanism of the jaw plate is made up of fixed jaw and moved jaw which bear big crushing force and material’s rubbing effect, easy to destroy. In order to protect the jaw plate, usually, install wearable lining plate on the surface of fixed jaw and move jaw, the lining plate is also called crushing plate.
The surface of jaw plate is usually made into tooth profile and the angle of jaw plate tooth peak is 90°～120 °, the size depending on the properties and lumpiness of smashed materials. When Smashing materials are large, the angle should be relatively large and when they are small, the angle can be relatively small. The size of pitch depends on the granularity of products , usually about the same size as the width of discharging. The scale of tooth depth and pitch can be decided as 1/ 2～1/ 3. Wear rate of two parts of jaw plate is very fast, wear rate of lower part is faster than upper part while working.
When jaw crusher is operating, jaw plate directly contacts with material, bearing great crushing force and rubbing effect of material, which service life is directly related to working efficiency and production cost of jaw crusher. Therefore, extending jaw plate service life of jaw crusher is very important. In order to strengthen service life of jaw plate, improvement for material selection, design, assembly, and operation can be took into consideration.
